It's been a big week for Zach Bryan and it's still far from over for the 'Pink Skies' star.
After surprising fans with the release of ‘This World's A Giant’ on Thursday (Nov. 7), the hitmaker just took to social media to share some tidbits about life as of late, mentioning another new song, as well as a big bombshell in the process.
The artist shared that an unreleased song, called 'High Road', will be ours in mere hours, but not before hitting some pretty heavy talking points.
In a post on Instagram, Bryan reflected on the momentous year he's had, 2024 having seen him release his latest album, The Great American Bar Scene, and traverse North America on his extensive Quittin' Time tour.
Alongside personal photographs, capturing life on the road, he wrote, "After not being home for a year and a half I drove out to my mothers gravestone in the dead of night a few days back on familiar Oklahoma roads and I came to realize just like in the past, that she never would call me again..."
In the post, Bryan shed light on a long-speculated aspect of his career: the fact of whether or not he will continue touring following the end of his Quittin' Time stint. The answer appears to be no.
He continued: "Told her I quit touring because I got accepted to get my masters in Paris next year, I told her I was back in Oklahoma, told her about all my best friends in New York and all the nights we howled with the moon, told her about the immeasurable laughter my band and me have shared these last five years, all the calluses on my finger tips, every tear shed, told her about making it on The Rolling Stone and most importantly told her about porch swinging with my beautiful sister."
The deeply personal narrative was followed by some details about the coming 'High Road' track, with the artist sharing, "I wrote the chorus for this song a month or two back and finished it when I realized I was blessed with all these things. I figured it was about time I released it."
'High Road' is expected to arrive sometime later on Thursday night (Nov. 7).
He closed his post with a few more melancholic words – possibly a snippet of lyrics from the forthcoming number – writing, "Seems that all these Quiet Dreams have gotten much too heavy but I’m home now and I’ll hold you through the pain."
