Zach Bryan has returned to his humble beginnings, posting a stripped down version of his new song, 'The Way Back', to YouTube.
The break-out sensation and ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker is known for dropping music without warning, keeping fans on their toes. In true Bryan fashion, we've been blessed again with one of those surprise tracks, which has already gotten comments about how it "hits different" and "brings shivers down the spine".
The new video showcases Bryan playing piano in a loft with high ceilings and incredible acoustics. He made the video from two takes, harmonizing with himself during portions of the choruses.
"I saw you in my dreams last night / You had a vandal grin framed by a suit and tie", it begins. The song follows a cadence that feels like a Zach Bryan signature, reminiscent of his celebrated 2023 fan-favorite 'East Side of Sorrow'.
The song is incredibly touching and poignant with the twinkling of the piano adding a levity to the heartbreaking ballad.
Dropping a new song four days before the start of tour is the most 'Zach Bryan' thing for him to do, and we can't wait to see what other surprises are in store during The Quittin' Time Tour.
