While taking a brief hiatus from his expansive Quittin' Time tour, ahead of the trek's upcoming Canadian leg this fall, Zach Bryan couldn't stay away from the spotlight for long.
On Tuesday (Sept. 10), while taking a bite out of the Big Apple, the hitmaker treated a select few fans to a pop-up showcase at Ray's Bar, a New York City neighborhood haunt.
In fan-captured footage, Bryan can be seen in a corner booth, joined by his guitarist and fiddle player. Together, the trio performed for an intimate crowd of around 50 to 60 patrons, rattling off songs like his iconic show-closer 'Revival' and his Boys of Faith opus, 'Nine Ball'.
The surprise show was set in motion when the artist took to X, writing in a post, "pop up at Rays Bar at 11:30", just an hour before the proposed show time.
The impromptu gig took place the day Bryan released the music video to his The Great American Bar Scene hit, 'Oak Island'. The cinematic visual, starring actors Casey Affleck and Jack Martin, was partially filmed in another New York locale, the upstate city of Schenectady.
Come November, Bryan will continue on his Quittin' Time jaunt, heading north to Alberta and British Columbia before taking on the Pacific Northwest and the Southwest. He will finish the tour by the year's end, closing out the trek with a two-night stay back in New York at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Perhaps, he'll pop up at a few more bars along the way.
