Zach Bryan has been known to instigate a frenzied, borderline-hysteric atmosphere whenever he takes the stage - but one fan seemingly got a little too carried away at his recent show in New York.
Footage emerged online of Zach making his way through the crowd to return for his traditional encore, with rows of fans attempting to high-five the Oklahoma singer-songwriter en route.
However, before long, one attendee reached out and grabbed Zach's guitar, prompting him to quickly yank it back, before turning to his security guard and directing them to throw the fan out.
Until that point, Albany's MVP Arena had been enjoying another stellar performance from the ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker, with his set featuring a variety of fan-favourite tracks, including ‘Open the Gate’, ‘Condemned’ and ‘Oklahoma Smokeshow’.
After the incident, Zach Bryan took to Twitter to explain why he decided to have the overexcited fan kicked out, writing, “I give J-45’s out at a lot of concerts. The one in my hands when this happened was mine, my sweet ol’ gal, we’ve been everywhere together and written every song in the last few years together. Took it personal, but nothing against whoever wound up getting kicked out”.
Zach went on to stress that he has no issue interacting with fans during his shows, as long as they remain well-behaved and don't take it too far, “I don’t mind people being respectful and trying to touch me or the guitar, but if you try to rip it out of my hands I promise I’ll rip you out of whatever venue we’re at, respectfully, of course”.
Zach Bryan is currently in the middle of his immensely popular 2023 Burn, Burn, Burn tour, with dates lined up throughout the summer across Ohio, Kentucky, New York and Colorado.
The run of shows features support from Zach's good buddy and frequent collaborator, Charles Wesley Godwin, as well as Tramped By Turtles, Jonathan Peyton and JR Carroll.
