On the first night of his eagerly anticipated Buckeye Country Superfest double-header, Zach Bryan brought out bluegrass virtuoso Billy Strings for a rousing finale to his hit-filled set.
‘Revival’, the raucous, anthemic fan-favourite taken from Zach's acclaimed 2020 album, Elisabeth - which he recently removed the artwork from, without explanation - has become a staple of the ’Something in the Orange’ singer-songwriter's setlist.
‘Revival’ serves as the stirring closer, with Zach Bryan making a habit of inviting special guests on-stage with him to deliver the energising track. The likes of Sexxy Red, Bruce Springsteen, Maggie Rogers and Tate McRae have all joined Zach to perform ‘Revival’, and during his first headlining Buckeye Country Superfest set, Billy Strings was the latest to be added to that eclectic, star-studded roster of artists.
In trademark Billy Strings style, he stole the show with a electrifying, rip-roaring guitar solo, with the Michigan phenom showcasing his talents throughout the spectacular performance.
In the midst of his own tour-dates, Strings has been completing a slew of high-profile side quests in recent weeks, with the ‘Meet Me At The Creek’ hitmaker joining his buddy Post Malone during the latter's Bonnaroo set in Tennessee for another incredible solo.
Strings, however, wasn't the only guest Zach called on during his weeklong-long headlining showcase. His Sunday night set saw the star welcome viral hitamkers Ole 60 and Kashus Culpepper to the stage for a ripping rendition of the same closing song.
In fan-captured video, Ole 60's Jacob Young and Culpepper can be seen sharing the mic with the headliner as they all roar the anthem's chorus.
Elsewhere during the 2024 Buckeye Country Super Fest weekend in Columbus, Ohio, Zach Bryan made his own unexpected appearance during Charles Wesley Godwin's daytime performance to deliver a spine-tingling rendition of their beloved 2022 duet, ‘Jamie’, with Zach taking the stage again later that night for his headline set.
