Zach Bryan has expanded his burgeoning four-legged family, with the ‘I Remember Everything’ hitmaker adopting an adorable new puppy, which Bryan has named ‘Bud Heavy’.
The incredibly cute puppy seems to be a mixed breed, potentially a Collie and Germany Shepherd cross, with the Oklahoma native adopting Bud Heavy from his home-state's Skiatook Paws and Claws Shelter, located around half an hour from Tulsa.
Zach Bryan has proudly shared a flurry of photos of his new friend, which joins his other dog, Jack, a Labrador. The puppy's name seemingly draws inspiration from one of Bryan's favourite alcoholic beverages, Budweiser heavies, and will give his fan-favourite 2021 anthem, ‘Heavy Eyes’, a new meaning when he belts out the lyric, “Remember when David dashed / A 12 pack of Budweiser heavy for the road?”
Bryan is currently gearing up for a momentous run of shows across Europe and North America, with the ‘Something in the Orange’ singer-songwriter heading to Dublin, Ireland for a triple header of dates later in June, before headlining London's BST Hyde Park.
It remains to be seen whether the country-folk trailblazer will be bringing Bud Heavy and Jack with him, or whether he'll be entrusting them with his family while he travels. Perhaps he'll take a leaf out of Riley Green's book and make it a new feature of his electrifying live shows to bring out the two dogs for a crowd-pleasing cameo.
Skiatook Paws and Claws Shelters was founded in 2013 by Paige Bodden, with Bodden making it her mission to turn the community's animal control centre into a “no kill” facility.
