“You Already Tryna Head Back to the Woods?!”: Lainey Wilson Teases Fiancé Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges in New Instagram Post

Lainey Wilson is poking fun at her new fiancé, Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges, after the Ottawa Redblacks quarterback shared an Instagram Carousel of photos of him out in the woods hunting.

Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges has uploaded a post expressing his love for spending time in the great outdoors, staying true to his nickname by asking longingly, “Is it duck season yet?”

Hilariously, Lainey Wilson has taken to the comments section to tease Hodges, mocking him for always attempting to find an excuse to head out into the sticks and embark on another hunting expedition, “Naw it ain’t. You already tryna head back to the woods?!”

Lainey Wilson and Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges announced their engagement in a heartwarming post shared earlier in February, with Hodges proposing to Wilson outside George Jones’ sprawling mansion in Franklin, Tennessee. The couple captioned the endearing news with a reference to Wilson's latest Country Radio No. 1, “4x4xU forever”.

Lainey Wilson often accompanies Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges on his hunting trips. However, with Tennessee's 2025 duck season coming to a close in late January, Hodges has a little longer to wait before getting back out on some muddy water in a Jonboat.

The wedding date is yet to be officially revealed, but it seems Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges will have more use for a sleek new tuxedo in the near future, rather than a camouflage get-up.
