During her two sold out nights in Nashville, Megan Moroney brought out fellow artist and opener for the show, Chase Matthew, to join her for the tour's titular song, ‘Am I Okay?’

“Y'all make some noise for Chase Matthew,” Moroney cheered after finishing the first chorus of her iconic track.

Matthew sang along, commanding the stage alongside his friend, the pair revelling in the moment with confetti cannons and screaming fans.

Taking to social media after the event, Moroney paid tribute to her friend’s kindness when she was just starting out.

“Chase was the first artist to take me out on the road with him back in 2022,” she wrote on her Instagram story against an action shot of the two of them mid performance. “We followed him around in a Honda Civic and he let me open for him while I was trying to figure out how to play in front of people. We just got to play two nights in Nashville together and I'm so grateful for him and our friendship.

"He’s seriously one of the best humans I know. LOVE YA 4EVERRRRRR [Chase Matthew]!”

One of the best things about being a Megan Moroney fan is that her idiosyncrasies aren’t just a performance for her show. Her personality is always shining through whether it’s in her clever lyricism, the emo-cowgirl echoes laced throughout her songs or just via her social media giving little insights into her life.

After her second Nashville show, the ‘Indifferent’ singer posted a picture with Keith Urban saying, “Thanks for coming [Keith Urban] :)” with an immediate follow-up of, “omg I forgot to tell Keith Urban that blue IS my color. Many regrets.”

Moroney is following in the footsteps of female powerhouses like Taylor Swift and Lainey Wilson, taking a moment to empower her younger audience during her show.

While Swift gave out her ‘22’ hat and Wilson dubs someone "Cowgirl of the Night" during each of their live shows, Moroney is crowning a "Miss Am I Okay Tour" in each city. Tying it in with her song ‘Miss Universe’, Moroney brings a young audience member on to the stage, gives them their sash and flowers and asks them what they want to be when they grow up.

Hilariously, her Nashville night one queen, Kylie, didn’t quite know the answer, but Moroney was there to raise her up anyway.

“You’re beautiful and strong and you can do literally whatever you want to,” she said to her pageant star. “You should not have it figured out, not even close right now, so you’re totally good, queen.”

We’re loving seeing Moroney grow into her confidence, sharing her individuality both on and off the stage and we’re keeping our eyes peeled for more Am I Okay Tour content.
