Zach Bryan treated his packed-out Red Rocks audience to an array of special guests and surprise setlist inclusions last night (August 10th), with the Oklahoma native ensuring his return to the iconic Morrison, Colorado venue was a memorable one.

Attendees were given an unexpected cameo from Bryan during Jack van Cleaf's set earlier in the evening, with the ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker emerging during the opener's performance to deliver a moving duet of ‘Rattlesnake’. Bryan joined van Cleaf for a reimagined version of the beloved track earlier this year.

It was a sweet moment that showcased Bryan's commitment to spotlighting up-and-comers within the genre, with headliners very rarely coming out during the opener's set.

Then, during the main event, fans got to witness the country-folk titan teaming up with Kings of Leon's frontman, Caleb Followill, for the live debut of their new single, ‘Bowery’.

The atmospheric offering was made available to stream just a couple of days before this on-stage link-up, with Bryan hailing it as the “honor of my life” to join forces with the band.

Their warm friendship radiated throughout this performance, with Bryan grinning excitedly as he watched Followill delivering his verse. For the instrumental, they strode across the stage towards one another as the crowd cheered them on.

Elsewhere during the explosive set, Zach Bryan teamed up with country prodigy Gabriella Rose for ’Madeline’, their stellar new duet, which dropped earlier in the summer.

Rose's vocals floated serenely across the sparse instrumentation, providing a powerful contrast to Bryan's comparatively gruff, weather-worn baritone. Amidst all the controversies that have engulfed the ‘Dawns’ crooner of late, fans have been clinging to the beauty of ‘Madeline’ in particular as a reminder of his artistry.

Completing Zach Bryan's A-list roster of special guests was Ocie Elliott, one of the openers, with Bryan recruiting the Canadian folk duo to help him sing his hit 2024 single, ‘28’.

The duo's evocative, ethereal vocals complemented Bryan's delivery, with the performers also bolstered by the fact that they had around 10,000 fans roaring the lyrics back to them.

Zach Bryan enjoys a unique relationship with Red Rocks, following his mythologised 2022 performance in the snow, which he later used for his All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster live album. As a result, despite Bryan being a proud Oklahoman, this performance had the feel of a homecoming show, with the set permeated by a sense of familiarity and camaraderie. Next up, he heads to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on Friday, August 15th, with the star-studded line-up of support acts including Kings of Leon, Turnpike Troubadours and Noeline Hofmann.
