Twinnie continues to cement herself as one of the most exciting new voices in the country music landscape, with the ‘Hypothetically’ singer-songwriter sharing the official music video today (October 31st) for her latest single, ‘Don't Need a Cowboy’.
The newly shared visuals bring the story behind the vibrant, country-pop earworm to life, with the curtain opening on Twinnie striding purposefully through the desert. As the song builds, we get a montage of shots of the UK hitmaker dancing jubilantly through the desert, with disco balls adorning the trees behind her.
It captures the freedom and joyful independence that permeate the track, with Twinnie rejecting the trope of running off into the sunset with a John Wayne wannabe, as she declares, “Don't need a cowboy, cowboy / A fool-around boy, so ride away”.
Speaking ahead of the music video's arrival, Twinnie playfully reflects, “Dating a cowboy sounds romantic...until you realize the songs last longer than the relationship”.
The ‘Don't Need a Cowboy’ video arrives hot on the heels of Twinnie's celebrated cameo in Rob Brydon's new Honky Tonk Road Trip documentary on BBC Two, during which the ‘Giddy Up’ crooner amusingly teaches a struggling Brydon to line-dance.
This latest release ensures the momentum remains high, as Twinnie gears up for her eagerly awaited 2026 Dirt Road Disco Tour, presented by JOY Concerts and Holler Live.
The run of shows will offer country music fans in London, Glasgow, Manchester, Brighton and her hometown of York the opportunity to dance along to Twinnie's infectious, galvanising catalogue of feel-good anthems next March and April.
With Twinnie once again staking her claim as one of the UK's most successful country music exports in recent years, we're excited to see what's next for the former Hollyoaks star.
