Less than a week after apologising for his drunken Crash My Playa 2025 performance in Cancun, Mexico, Bailey Zimmerman has gifted fans a brand new song snippet.
Bailey Zimmerman has uploaded the uplifting unreleased track, titled ‘Back-Up Plan’, as a birthday treat, with the ‘Religiously’ hitmaker turning 25 on Monday, January 27th.
In his apology video, Zimmerman underlined how he would keep trying to grow up into the best version of himself, as well as expressing his gratitude for his loyal fanbase. This newly shared track, ‘Back-Up Plan’, feels like a nod to both of these intentions, with the Illinois crooner singing fiercely about ignoring detractors, while encouraging listeners to never give up when chasing down their wildest dreams.
Across a charged, electric-guitar-fuelled riff, Bailey Zimmerman advises, “As far as I can see, there ain't no way to be somebody if you're just gonna quite / So if you got a fire, don't lose it / If you got a do-or-die dream, do it / If you've got something to prove, go and prove it / Don't let nobody clip your wings / Keep your head down, keep on the blinders / Tune out the doubters, and all the closed-minders”.
In the caption, Zimmerman warns that there's no official release date for ‘Back-Up Plan’, explaining, “I don’t know when I’m putting this out but ITS A BANGER🔥🤟”. Fans are already calling for the country prodigy to drop the motivational anthem as soon as possible.
‘Back-Up Plan’ is expected to feature on Bailey Zimmerman's highly anticipated Religiously follow-up album, alongside the previously released ’Holding On’, ‘New to Country’ and ‘Holy Smokes’. Although he evidently doesn't have a concrete drop date yet, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed Zimmerman has a ‘Back-Up Plan’ to move the release up so we can hear it in the coming months.
