Tiny Habits and Lizzy McAlpine have teamed up once again.
The vocal trio – comprising Cinya Khan, Maya Rae and Judah Mayowa – tapped the folk singer-songwriter to appear on their new single 'For Sale Sign'.
The warm yet weepy acoustic number arrives Thursday (Nov. 21) and joins the two acts' past collaborations, one on McAlpine's recent ‘Pushing it Down and Praying’ and one in which they all feature on JP Saxe’s ‘Everything Ends.’
'For Sale Sign' finds the four vocalists reflecting on life, death and the things we leave behind, harmonizing breath-taking lyrics like, "I think a lot about all the people everyone forgot / Letters on stones / Are you better off gone / When you’re leaving nobody behind / I hope to God you got let off easy / And that there’s someone / Up there just waiting for you to arrive."
“’For Sale Sign’ has lived with us for a while now and we'd been hoping for the right time and circumstances to put it into the world," Khan shared of the track. "It means a lot to us and reminds us about how special life is and just how lucky we are to live it.”
Rae added, “It’s a very special song for us, and I remember feeling really moved by it when we wrote it, so I’m very excited for the world to finally be able to listen,” with Mayowa sharing, “This song really gave us a new perspective on writing and challenged our storytelling. I’m still constantly moved by this song and so grateful for the experience of writing it."
Over the last year, the members of Tiny Habits have become fast rising stars, the group opening for Noah Kahan and Gracie Abrams, embarking on their first headline tour, gracing several festival lineups and featuring on a Kacey Musgraves song. Still, the year isn't over for the trio, who will soon be setting off for their first headline dates in Australia.
