Another day, another country music fan theory.
Riley Green has found himself at the heart of a bottomless wealth of TikTok-driven speculation and conjecture surrounding his dating life in recent months, mostly centred around his ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ and ’Don't Mind If I Do’ duet partner, Ella Langley.
Riley Green and Ella Langley have been forced to roll their eyes at these rumours in a slew of interviews, with both artists underlining that they're just friends, and that, much like actors playing characters that are in-love, the chemistry Green and Langley ooze on their collaborations is simply the result of them being great artists.
Now, however, there's another fan theory tied to Riley Green and his dating life, with one TikTok user doing some sleuthing, and finding what they believe to be evidence that he's been on vacation with Megan Moroney in Saint Barthélemy this past week.
Megan Moroney has been sharing photos - and even a song teaser - from her island trip as she enjoys time away from the road, ahead of her 2025 Am I Okay? tour. The eagle-eyed TikTok user, Lauren Condon, pointed out that Riley Green has been sharing images from his own island vacation, with the layout of his suite seemingly matching the website photos of a particular resort in - wait for it - Saint Barthélemy.
Since this TikTok clip started gaining traction, fans of the two artists have been scouring their social media posts and carousels in search of any further clues or hints that they're together. Some especially rigorous fans have highlighted that Riley Green and Megan Moroney have supposedly been liking one another's posts for months.
Judging by this video, it does, it must be said, seem Riley Green and Megan Moroney have been in Saint Barthélemy at the same time, but this doesn't, of course, mean they're dating. And really, if they are indeed in a relationship, it's not any of our business until the two country heavyweights decide to officially share the news themselves.
The ‘Different ‘Round Here’ hitmaker is clearly a fan of Megan Moroney as a musician, with Riley Green bringing the Georgia native out on-stage to perform ‘Don't Mind If I Do’ in November. Regardless of whether they're in a relationship or not, we'd love to see Riley Green and Megan Moroney join forces for an official duet in the near future.
Amusingly, this isn't the first time Riley Green has found himself inadvertently tangled up in Megan Moroney dating rumours. When Moroney shared a photo alongside her then-partner at the 2023 SESAC Music Awards in Nashville, fans flooded the comments with claims that the mystery boyfriend was none other than Riley Green. Green then had to take time out from his hunting trip to post a video confirming it wasn't.
We don't imagine Riley Green, who is famously private, will be best pleased to find he is embroiled in another web of dating speculation. Even if this is a rare instance where the hearsay is accurate, we suspect Green and Moroney won't be drawn on the subject. Amazingly, this isn't the most outlandish piece of country fan-led detective work to be done this week, with a slew of hilarious, in-depth and - inevitably - false theories emerging that Zach Top is actually Alan Jackson's son.
