The War and Treaty Announce New Album, 'Plus One', With Waltzing New Single 'Carried Away'

Come Valentine's Day 2025, country music's favorite husband-wife duo will be spreading the love.

The War and Treaty – comprising country soul vocalists Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter – are dropping their fourth studio album, Plus One, on Feb. 14. The 18-track release marks the follow-up to the couple's acclaimed 2023 collection, Lover's Game.

“We see this record as an open invitation to be a part of what we’re doing—it came from wanting to be the hope we believe people need right now, as well as the hope that we need for ourselves,” Tanya shared of the forthcoming album in a statement, with Michael offering, “One of our main intentions with this album is to inspire people to share themselves with others, and open themselves up to the possibility of being loved."

Plus One will include previously released tracks 'Can I Get An Amen', 'Call You By Your Name', 'Stealing A Kiss', 'Leads Me Home', as well as their latest single 'Carried Away', which was unveiled today (Dec. 6) with the news of the upcoming release.

'Carried Away' is a sweeping waltz, textured by Western flourishes and a soulful flair, in which the pair belt "I might get carried away / Once we get in each other's face / Ain't no holding up what's going down in this place / I might get carried away."

Following the album's February release, they will embark on a lengthy tour across North America, making stops in major cities like Minneapolis, Toronto, New York, Atlanta, Seattle, Dallas and beyond from March until June.

Tickets for the trek will be available beginning Friday (Dec. 13) at 10 a.m. local time.
