During Pineville, Kentucky's beloved Laurel Cove Music Festival, the Red Clay Strays did more than simply close out the music-filled weekend. They, quite literally, made a splash.
On Saturday (June 8), the band went down in Laurel Cove history, their set causing fans to flock – for the first time ever – to the famous pond that abuts the main stage where a “pit” area would normally be.
As the group moved through the end of their showcase, transitioning from their adored 'Wondering Why' and 'Don’t Care' into their encore of 'Doin' Time' and 'She's No Good', many spectators began to wade through the water for a closer experience.
"They told us Saturday at [Laurel Cove Music Festival] that was the first time the crowd’s ever jumped into the pond before," the band posted of the night on their socials. "Thank y’all for making it such a memorable night."
The Strays have a season full of memories to make just ahead of them as they continue on their These Moments Tour, a lengthy cross-country trek that will take them through the summer and well into the fall. Along the way, they will release their highly anticipated sophomore effort, Made by These Moments, on July 26.
