Just ahead of the 4th of July holiday in the United States, the Castellows are showing off their patriotic side with 'Miss America.'
The billowy new tune finds the sibling trio – comprising sisters Ellie, Powell and Lily – nostalgic for a time and a part of the country that's close to their hearts.
"Us girls grew up on a farm in a very small town in South Georgia," the group explain of the song on social media. "One of the things we are extremely thankful for is the way we were raised and the environment we grew up in. Rural America holds a very special place in our hearts, and seems these days that rural America keeps getting smaller and smaller."
"I miss America," they sing along to the airy song. "Bare feet in the dirt / John 3:16 wasn’t scared to work / Yeah they all dream of her / She’s mine and I still love her / But I miss America."
They continue: "This song is a love letter to that part of the country and also a reflection on a time in our lives that we won’t be able to relive again. You only get to grow up once."
'Miss America' marks the siblings' first taste of new music since the release of their debut EP A Little Goes A Long Way, a 7-track release that has secured their position as rising stars over the last year.
Much of 2024 has seen the trio only grow in success as they've embarked on a season of firsts – a headlining tour, a slew of festival appearances – with much more on the horizon.
