Kenny Chesney has shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the ‘No Shoes Nation’ figurehead rehearsing, with Chesney seemingly teasing an impending 2025 tour announcement.

Fans had started to grow concerned that perhaps we weren't going to get our yearly summer dose of shows from Kenny Chesney in 2025, with the ‘Take Her Home’ hitmaker usually announcing his tour by this point. It's become an unofficial tradition that Chesney tends to deliver a full-blown stadium tour every other year, with each year in-between often featuring a more intimate run of amphitheater shows. In 2024, Kenny Chesney hit the road with Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker for his wildly popular Sun Goes Down stadium tour, so in theory, 2025 would be the year when Chesney opts for slightly smaller venues.

However, until now, there's been no news about what Kenny Chesney has planned for 2025. Thankfully, it looks like we might be getting a tour after all, with the four-time ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year hinting that there are shows on the horizon.

In a new social media post, Kenny Chesney has uploaded a photo of him brandishing a guitar and one of his band-members, with the tantalising caption, “New year and new experiences. Started rehearsals today for what’s next. Can’t wait to share. KC”.

It's strange that rehearsals have seemingly already begun for a tour, before the tour has even been announced. There have been some rumblings of a Vegas residency, and Kenny Chesney is certainly a big enough name for this, but his ties to cities such as Tampa and Foxborough are surely too strong to not play any shows there in 2025.

Additionally, some suspect the New England Patriots beanie that Chesney is donning in the new photo is a clue that he'll be returning to the Gillette Stadium, the site of his blockbuster 2024 triple-header and the home of his No Shoes Nation fanbase.

Could a long-awaited international tour be on the cards? The Tennessee native's UK, European and Australia fans have been patiently waiting for Kenny Chesney to make a trip over for decades now, and Chesney did visit Megan Moroney in Amsterdam late last year, with some speculating that he was scouting for future tour-stops.

It must be said that this feels like the least likely option, as a tour of this scale would need to be locked in even earlier than a North American leg, so we imagine Kenny Chesney's international fans will have to wait a while longer before he leaves US shores.

The reference to “new experiences” in this latest social media post is particularly interesting, and could hint that Kenny Chesney will be switching it up slightly for 2025. This could be a nod towards the rumoured Las Vegas residency, or perhaps a more pared-down run in the mould of 2023's I Go Back series of shows.

Either way, with Kenny Chesney excitingly back in rehearsal mode following his Christmas holiday, it looks like we will, at the very least, be getting some live shows this year - it just remains to be seen what shape or form those performances will be taking.

Chesney has an album's worth of new material vying to be included in his 2025 setlist, with 2024's BORN spawning an array of fan-favourites that are yet to be given a live debut, including ‘This Too Shall Pass’, ‘One More Sunset’, ‘Blame It On The Salt’ and ’Long Gone’.

We'll be keeping our eyes peeled and our fingers crossed that this cryptic post means a Kenny Chesney tour reveal is inching closer, and that it won't be too long before we can reach for our Blue Chair Bay Rum ball-caps and summer tank-tops, and scream along to iconic Chesney anthems such as ‘We Do’, ‘Get Along’ and ‘Young’.
