The nominations for the 2025 Grammys have just been announced and there appear to be plenty of first-timers who made the cut. Celebrated country troubadours Sierra Ferrell and Charley Crockett are among them.
The two stars, especially Ferrell, are currently dominating the Americana categories of the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
The 'In Dreams' star secured nods for Best American Roots Performance with 'Lighthouse', as well as Best Americana Performance and Best American Roots Song, both for her beloved Trail of Flowers serenade, 'American Dreaming'.
Her 2024 sophomore album, Trail of Flowers, is also in the running for Best Americana Album. Crockett's 2024 release, $10 Cowboy, joins her in the running for such an honor.
The country genre has reigned over much of 2024, several acts having found their way onto the Billboard Hot 100 in recent months, and that's reflected in the recent Grammy nominations.
Country sensation Shaboozey received five noms, including the coveted Best New Artist and Song of the Year for his summer smash 'A Bar Song (Tipsy).' Beyoncé's recent country contribution Cowboy Carter also garnered a number of nods across categories. The genre's most recent addition Post Malone also stacked up nominations.
Victors will be revealed come February 2, 2025, during the 67th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, set to take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
