We've got some really good news - Shaboozey has confirmed the release date for his brand new song, ‘Good News’, with the long-teased track set to arrive on Friday, November 15th.
Excitingly, this marks the genre-blending chart-topper's first official single since his widely lauded album, Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going, which dropped back in May.
The extremely viral ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ remains at the peak of the Billboard Hot 100, making it the second-longest-running No. 1 in the chart's history, behind Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ ‘Old Town Road’, which racked up 19 weeks in 2019. Shaboozey's ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ currently looks on-track to surpass its fellow country anthem.
Given how popular ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ still is, there's been no massive urgency - understandably - from Shaboozey and his team to follow up with another new single that could pull streams away from their smash hit. Now, though, we're thankfully about to get the first taste of the Virginia singer-songwriter's forthcoming studio album.
Shaboozey has taken to socials to share the pre-save link for ’Good News’, and when you click through, users are greeted with the message, “Good News by Shaboozey will be added to your music library on November 15”, confirming the release date is this Friday.
Shaboozey has been sharing snippets of the infectious new track in recent weeks, with the uptempo offering capturing the same freeing, let-it-all-go spirit of ’A Bar Song (Tipsy)’.
Across an energising instrumental, Shaboozey croons warmly about how he's been struggling of late, before deciding that his troubles will be tempered by a night full of celebration and relief (“I need some good news / Sittin' here, sippin' on cold truth / Nobody knows what I'm goin' through / Bet the devil wouldn't walk in my shoes”).
The ‘Drink Don't Need No Mix’ hitmaker continues to cement himself as one of break-out artists of the year, with Shaboozey receiving five 2025 Grammy nominations last week, including coveted nods for Best New Artist and Song of the Year for ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’.
