Shaboozey Snags First-Ever Hot 100 No. 1 With 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)'

If 2024 doesn't end up being The Year of Shaboozey, it's certainly been the year of his viral hit, 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)'.

In just a short time, the infectious anthem has catapulted country's latest sensation to the top of a number of cross-genre charts around the globe, the most recent one possibly being the biggest of them all: the Billboard Hot 100.

The song's latest positioning atop the mainstream ranking marks the star's first-ever No. 1 on the chart and adds to the long list of firsts he's notched this year alone.

With the now-2x Platinum single, the artist has amassed hundreds of millions of streams since it dropped this past April. Upon its release, 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' quickly made history after it secured Shaboozey his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs.

Having made the jump from No. 6 on the chart, the hit dethroned Beyoncé's 'TEXAS HOLD EM'' from the top slot, marking the first time two Black artists have topped the list with back-to-back hit songs.

He will soon be taking the beloved song and many more of his soon-to-be classic tunes on the road for his first headlining tour.

The multi-city Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going tour, which takes its name from the artist's recently dropped third studio album, kicks off in early fall. Beginning in September in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the one month run will see the hitmaker play some of his largest venues to date in North American cities like Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York, Atlanta, Nashville, and more.

"Let’s sell these out and add more dates," the artist shared upon the tour's announcement. "I wanna meet and see every single one of yall!"
