One of the hottest tickets in town this season, Shaboozey rolled through Nashville on Monday night (September 29) as part of his thrilling The Great American Roadshow trek.
Setting up camp in front of about 4,000 ravenous Boozey fans at The Pinnacle, the Virginia native sauntered onto the stage with his outlaw ode, 'Last of My Kind,' setting the tone for what would be a rollicking sepia-toned odyssey through his part country, part rap and all Shaboozey discography.
With a collection of goosebump-inducing renditions of countrified hymnals like 'Blink Twice,' 'Good News' and 'Amen,' the artist also dished out plenty of his trap-infused rap offerings like fan-favorite deep cut 'Tall Boy' and the intoxicating 'Drink Don't Need No Mix.'
Bringing out a pair of guests in Stephen Wilson Jr.–whom he recently collaborated with on 'Take A Walk' from the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King‘s The Long Walk–and opener and recent American Dogwood signee Kevin Powers on 'Move On,' Shaboozey also took it way back for some classic country gold, offering up a joyous singalong of Hank Williams Jr.'s 'Family Tradition.'
The last time this writer saw a true Shaboozey set was nearly 18 months ago when he all but shut down Broadway during his set at CMA Fest 2024. Drawing easily thousands of fans and ripping off one high-octane tune after another, that show feels now like a kind of premonition.
In June of 2024, with only one true hit to his name, people clamored to see the spectacle that was Shaboozey. In September of 2025, they did it all again, but this time screaming every word back to him.
While it was the little viral song that could that might've opened the door for Shaboozey, he's now kicked it clean off its hinges as he's proven that there's so much more to his artistry than just getting tipsy.
"I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in this moment," Shaboozey noted of performing his second home of Nashville, Tennessee. If the crowd could've replied in unison, they would've said the same as they welcomed the Boot Cut Boy back to Music City with open arms.
