Shaboozey has scored his first ever No. 1 at UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, with his viral single, ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’, surging to the top spot for the week dated August 9 - 15.
‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’, which features on Shaboozey's widely lauded 2024 album, Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going, has accumulated a sizeable 899,711 impressions during this frame, beating out Lainey Wilson's ‘Hang Tight Honey’ for the top spot, which settles at No. 2. ‘Hang Tight Honey’ has spent the past three weeks at No. 1.
Released in April ahead of the full album, ’A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ has emerged as one of the biggest cross-genre hits of the year, with the infectious track having now been at the pinnacle of the Billboard Hot 100 for a staggering five weeks - and counting.
‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ interpolates J-Kwon's 2004 anthem, ‘Tipsy’, and epitomises Shaboozey's ability to weave various stylistic influences into one electric, cohesive sound.
Completing the Top Five on this week's UK Country Radio Airplay Chart is Carly Pearce's ‘Truck On Fire’ at No. 3, Luke Combs’ Twisters: The Album soundtrack single ‘Ain't No Love in Oklahoma’ at No. 4 and Megan Moroney's ‘Indifferent’ at No. 5.
The biggest mover during this frame is another stand-out from Moroney's 2024 record, Am I Okay?, ‘No Caller ID’, which experiences a 46,194% boost to take it to No. 30.
This week saw debuts for Cody Johnson's ‘That's Texas’ (No. 42), Jelly Roll's ‘Save Me’ (No. 41), Tanner Adell's ‘Whiskey Blues’ (No. 37) and ‘Buckle Bunny’ (No. 36), Brothers Osborne's ‘I Won't Back Down’ (No. 35) and Little Big Town's ‘Girl Crush’ (No. 28).
