Sam Hunt recently teased new music, sharing a snippet of a forthcoming single across social media.

Titled 'Liberty', versions of the heady new groove have been littered across Hunt's platforms since summer 2023; but soon, it will officially drop.

The song appears to be commentary on fatherhood, the teaser planting listeners on a river bank under blue skies, learning lessons about life, patience and unconditional love.

"Life is but a dream," the artist spouts against beat-battered atmospherics. "Psilocybin in the spring / Made the foggy water roll / The book of Revelations sang / Had a dream that I was eight years older / Burying the dog with my eight-year-old / We were looking for arrowheads where the creeks meet / Blue skies on a nice day / He said, "Look, daddy, that's a bald eagle." / I said, "Nah, buddy, that's an osprey." / "Your mama's callin', I bet supper's ready" / "Probably oughta start turnin' 'round..."

The new single, set to arrive on Nov. 1, marks the follow-up to the star's Locked Up EP, a project that boasted his most recent UK radio No. 1, 'Outskirts'.

While non-consecutively, the slow-burner seemed to consistently top the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart for much of the early summer, often duking it out with Ashley Cooke's ‘your place’ and Chris Young's ‘Young Love & Saturday Nights’.
