While watching the rip-roaring Cracker Barrel 400 race at Nashville Superspeedway over the weekend, Morgan Wallen joined forces with NASCAR legend, Richard Petty.

Petty has shared a photo alongside the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper, coupled with the playful caption, “Only in Nashville”, just a matter of weeks after Wallen name-checked the racing icon in his blockbuster Post Malone collaboration, ‘I Ain't Comin’ Back’.

In that track, which dropped on April 17th, Wallen and Post joke that the speed at which they left their relationships could be likened to the pace of some of Petty's famous races.

Across an undulating, uptempo instrumental, the duo regretfully sing, “But the night I said, ‘I'm leavin’’, I turned into Richard Petty / Broke my heart, so I got even in my '97 Chevy”.

Shortly after the arrival of that track, which serves as one of the many stand-outs from Morgan Wallen's new studio album, I'm the Problem, Richard Petty took to his Instagram Stories to thank the Sneedville megastar for the ‘I Ain't Comin‘ Back’ shout-out.

Petty remains one of the most well-known figures in NASCAR racing history, with the North Carolina native winning seven Daytona 500 races and seven NASCAR championships.

Elsewhere during the Cracker Barrel 400, Morgan Wallen was spotted hanging out with his friend and long-time collaborator, ERNEST, as the duo enjoyed the action from one of the best seats in the house, with the artists sat underneath the leaderboard.

ERNEST performed before the race, with the ‘Flower Shops’ hitmaker being named the Grand Marshall for the event, which was ultimately won by Ryan Blaney, who led for 139 laps. Corey Heim of Michael Jordan's 23XI Racing Toyota team, whose car was sponsored by Eric Church's Nashville bar, Chief's, finished at No. 37.
