As we near the end of January, it's time for everyone's favorite marriage of sports and music: The Super Bowl.
The annual celebration, first created to commemorate the best in the world of football, has become equally as famous for its caliber of music entertainment with the coveted half-time show becoming one of the biggest pop culture moments of the year.
An equally exciting moment that we've come to anticipate is the lucky artist who gets to perform the National Anthem.
This year, that honor goes to country icon Reba McEntire, who will be taking center field to perform, arguably, one of the most difficult songs in the Great American Songbook.
McEntire has a tough act to follow after last year's mesmerizing performance of the 'Star Spangled Banner' by the bearded wonder himself, Chris Stapleton, who did such a stellar job that he put the live version on streaming services last July.
In the last decade, country artists have made this tradition their bread and butter, with massive names like Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Mickey Guyton also doing the honor.
Beyond the National Anthem and half time show, which this year will be anchored by R&B hitmaker Usher, Super Bowl LVIII will also see rap phenomenon Post Malone make an appearance.
An 8x Diamond-certified, Grammy-nominated hitmaker, Malone will be on hand to sing the classic 'America the Beautiful' ahead of the championship game.
Malone has been slowly shifting his way into the country world, most notably appearing at the 57th Annual CMA Awards in Novemeber, and recently confirmed that his debut country album will be arriving soon.
Though the opponents for the highly anticipated Super Bowl matchup is still up in the air, the pinnacle game will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, February 11 and will air live on CBS.
