As the anticipation continues to build ahead of her third studio album, Land Of The Forgotten, Brit Taylor is treating fans to a sneak preview with her new single, ‘Around and Around’.

Premiering exclusively via Holler below, ’Around and Around’ captures the storytelling depth and fiddle-driven Appalachian spirit that permeates so much of Taylor's stellar catalogue.

It finds the Kentucky native painting a vibrant portrait of an unassuming family, adding in new textures and subtleties to the vignette as we learn more about each person's situation. Whether it's the depictions of her sister getting high or the mother reading from her Bible, the listener is transported straight into the family living room.

‘Around and Around’ is playful in tone, but dive beneath the uptempo, infectious hook and the colourful lyricism and you'll find perceptive, colorful observations.

Taylor reflects on the inspiration behind this enchanting offering, “‘Around and Around’ is really a song about the typical all American family stuck on an endless merry-go-round”.

The ‘Gone As It Gets’ singer-songwriter expands, “They don’t really enjoy the ride, but they’re not sure how to get off of it either. It’s scary to go against the grain and do something different than everyone around you. I see a lot of my high school self in this song. I wanted to be anywhere but where my roots were planted back then”.

Following in the mould of legends such as Patty Loveless and Lee Ann Womack, who crafted records produced by their husbands, Emory Gordy and Frank Liddel respectively, Taylor recruits her own husband, Adam Chaffins, as the album's producer.

The impetus behind this record is evident from ‘Around and Around’ - and, indeed, the previous two singles, ‘Warning You Whiskey’ and ‘All For Sale’ - is refreshingly evident.

Taylor is inviting listeners into her Appalachia, building a body of narrative around this core theme, while drawing on influences like Loretta Lynn, Keith Whitley and Tyler Childers.

This latest release, which is available to stream on all platforms on Friday, February 6th, 2026, ensures our excitement remains through the roof ahead of Land Of The Forgotten. The project arrives in full on March 6th.

“Susie graduated, she and Jimmy dated,

Now she got a baby that cries, cries, cries.

Jimmy works a double shift

Then he gets home and gets drunk just a little bit and sighs, sighs, sighs.

-

That's the way the wind keeps blowing,

That's the way the deal goes down,

That's the way the river keeps flowing,

That's the way the ball

With us all hanging on, falling off 'til we're gone, goes around and around and around.

-

Momma's pushing Jesus,

Brother's eating Cheez-Its,

Sister's got some green

Getting high, high, high.

-

Daddy wants another beer,

Me, I'm getting outta here.

Put the truck in high gear

And drive, drive, drive.

-

That's the way the wind keeps blowing,

That's the way the deal goes down,

That's the way the river keeps flowing,

That's the way the ball

With us all hanging on, falling off 'til we're gone, goes around and around and around.

-

Over-medicated,

Under-compensated,

Highly educated,

And blind, blind, blind.

-

Try to think positive

Find a little love to give,

Only way we're gonna get

By, by, by.

-

That's the way the wind keeps blowing,

That's the way the deal goes down,

That's the way the river keeps flowing,

That's the way the ball

With us all hanging on, falling off 'til we're gone, goes around and around.

-

And that's the way the wind keeps blowing,

That's the way the deal goes down,

That's the way the river keeps flowing,

That's the way the ball

With us all hanging on, falling off 'til we're gone, goes around and around and around and around and around”
