After dropping a slew of teasers and performing a live debut during CMA Fest, Post Malone and Blake Shelton have revealed they'll release their collaboration, ‘Pour Me a Drink’, on June 21.
The keenly awaited track will follow another star-studded duet, ‘I Had Some Help’ with Morgan Wallen, which currently sits at No. 1 on the Hot 100 for a fourth week. If ‘I Had Some Help’ can hold onto the top spot for another couple of frames, Post Malone may well replace himself at No. 1 when ‘Pour Me a Drink’ arrives.
Much like ‘I Had Some Help’, it seems we can look forward to a music video dropping in tandem with the new track, with Posty sharing some clips from the forthcoming visuals on socials.
Post Malone first shared a snippet of ‘Pour Me a Drink’ back in May, with Blake then joining his good buddy Posty for a surprise duet of the infectious Friday night anthem at CMA Fest. After performing the track at the Nissan Stadium, the duo made the trip down Broadway to Blake's bar, Ole Red, for a special Spotify House rendition.
The uptempo track finds Post Malone and Blake Shelton trading everyman lyrics about how much they're looking forward to cracking open a cold one after a long week at work, and looks set to rival ‘I Had Some Help’ as the 2024 song of the summer.
‘Pour Me a Drink’ is due to join ’I Had Some Help’, ‘I Ain't Got a Guy For That’ with Luke Combs, ‘Never Love You Again’, ‘Missin’ You Like This’ and ‘Left Me In Your Mind’ on Posty's debut country album, which is widely expected to drop later this year.
