Parker McCollum has secured his first UK Country Airplay Chart No. 1 with his fiery anthem, ‘Burn It Down’, one of the many stand-outs from his acclaimed 2023 project, Never Enough.
Earning an impressive 721,504 impressions across four stations during this week's frame (April 5 - 11), McCollum's brooding, atmospheric track has usurped the previous No. 1, Jordan Davis’ beat-driven chart-topper, ‘Tucson Too Late’.
‘Burn It Down’ finds Parker McCollum showcasing the sleek, charismatic vocals he's become synonymous with in recent years, as the Texas singer-songwriter attempts to set the painful memories of a past relationship alight until all that's left are “ashes and smoke”.
McCollum delivered a spine-tingling live version of ’Burn It Down’ alongside Brittney Spencer during the 2024 CMT Awards last week, with the much-loved track surging to No. 1 in the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase Country charts earlier in April.
Now, as well as becoming a US No. 1, Parker McCollum has officially picked up a UK Country Airplay No. 1 too - the first, no doubt, of many, given the consistency of McCollum's releases to date. He recently teased his Never Enough follow-up, with the ‘Pretty Heart’ hitmaker confirming to Holler in February that he was starting the recording process for the hotly anticipated album in March.
Following Parker McCollum's ‘Burn It Down’ and Jordan Davis’ ‘Tucson Too Late’ on this week's UK Country Airplay Chart is Kane Brown's ‘I Can Feel It’ at No. 3, with the high-energy track expected to reach the pinnacle in the coming weeks. Completing the Top 5 is Ashley Cooke's sinuous, fan-favourite track, ‘Your Place’ and Dasha's viral break-out hit, ‘Austin’, slotting in at No. 4 and 5 respectively.
