Zach Bryan is earning plaudits online after he gave a waitress a whopping $3,000 tip, with the waitress’ mother taking to TikTok to thank the Oklahoma native for his kind gesture.
Zach's PR team will be rubbing their hands with glee, as it's safe to say the ‘Something in the Orange’ crooner is in need of some positive press as he attempts to rebuild his public image, following the high-profile allegations of emotional abuse that were levelled at him by his ex-girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia, back in November.
In the new video, the mother of the waitress, Jenny, addresses Zach directly, “This apology is for Zach Bryan so if you're not Zach Bryan you can keep on scrolling. Zach - is it okay if I call you Zach? - when my daughter texted me and told me that she was your server at a restaurant the other night and asked me to guess how much you tipped her, and I said, ‘Five dollars?’ we both know that I was off by $2,995”.
Jenny expanded, “And I just wanted to say, I was just making a joke, and I'm really sorry. That sweet child of mine has had a really tough year, so thank you. That was a classy move”.
It's not the first time Zach Bryan has grabbed the headlines for his acts of generosity, with a number of videos surfacing on TikTok in recent months of the ‘Revival’ singer-songwriter gifting guitars to fans at the end of his shows during his Quittin’ Time tour.
Additionally, in mid-November, the folk-leaning country chart-topper bid a sizeable $4,000 for his DeAnn vinyl at a cancer charity auction, before then giving it to a fan in attendance.
Zach Bryan is currently enjoying a hiatus from performing live, with the ‘Dawns’ hitmaker repeatedly underlining that he won't be embarking on a full-scale tour in 2025. Nonetheless, Bryan has a smattering of shows lined up, including a highly anticipated double-header at London's BST Hyde Park and three dates at Dublin's Phoenix Park.
