Noah Kahan and Post Malone have shared a new acoustic version of their 2023 hit single, ‘Dial Drunk’, recorded backstage ahead of their duet at the Bud Walton Arena last week.
When Kahan recruited Post for the reimagined rendition of ‘Dial Drunk’ a couple of summers ago, it paved the way for the latter's foray into the country and folk world.
The uptempo anthem finds the duo trading verses as they recount an alcohol-soaked night that ended up with them in handcuffs, and using their one phone-call on their ex.
Noah Kahan and Post Malone's endearing friendship radiates throughout both this stripped-back performance of ‘Dial Drunk’, and their energising rendition of the Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever) stand-out at the Walmart Associates concert.
Post has accompanied the video clip by gushing, “love ya buddy @NoahKahan”, with Kahan reciprocating his warm sentiments, sharing, “good to be back buddy”.
We're hoping ‘Dial Drunk’ isn't the only time we get to hear these two genre-blending trailblazers on a track together, with Noah Kahan and Post Malone able to flit between starkly different styles, sonics and textures in a way that few other artists can.
