The rollout for the every-enigmatic Tyler Childers’ new album is picking up pace, with a new website for the Hickman Holler Hunting Club launching out of the blue. As fans will know, Childers’ RCA label imprint is called Hickman Holler Records, and the ‘In Your Love’ hitmaker's initials can be seen at the top of the hunting club crest.

At the time of writing, the newly unveiled website - which Tyler Childers has not yet referenced or endorsed via his own channels - simply features a home-page encouraging users to “Join the Hickman Holler Hunting Club”. Once you've signed up, you are redirected to the mysterious hunting club's Instagram page.

Although the Kentucky trailblazer has not acknowledged the Hickman Hunting Club in any way, it is unquestionably linked to Tyler Childers, because there is a notice below the sign-up form advising, “By connecting, you agree to receive news and updates from Tyler Childers, Hickman Holler Hunting Club and Sony Music Entertainment”.

As for the official Instagram page, there are some carousels showing Hickman Holler Hunting Club posters that have been put up in New York, Nashville and Los Angeles, in addition to some cryptic images of hunting-related artefacts and paraphernalia.

The arrival of this puzzling new website and Instagram page comes just days after it was widely reported that Tyler Childers would be releasing his new album on June 20th.

It was rumoured that Childers revealed the release date during a recent show. However, it was later revealed that he was speaking about the new album from his opener, S.G Goodman. Goodman's Planting by the Signs does indeed drop on June 20th.

Nonetheless, it seems Tyler Childers’ Rustin’ in the Rain follow-up album is on the horizon, with Peter Edge, the Chairman and CEO of RCA Records, confirming in an interview with Hits Daily Double that Childers’ next body of work was coming soon.

In response to a question about projects that will be dropping “in the next few months”, Edge replied, “I’m really excited about Tyler Childers' new album, which is produced by Rick Rubin. He defies expectations, and this new album goes even further. The great thing about Tyler is that he does it the way he wants to do it. He's playing giant venues, and he's making the music he wants to make”.

Judging by the sudden emergence of the Hickman Holler Hunting Club, we suspect an announcement from Tyler Childers’ camp will be gracing our IG feeds in the near future. Perhaps the project is set to be named The Hickman Holler Hunting Club.

With Rustin’ in the Rain serving as a reminder of Childers’ unique positioning in the modern country landscape, and his role as a disrupter and innovator, we have no doubt that his next album will further solidify his status as one of the genre's key pioneers.
