As the 2025 season winds down and the major 2026 tour announcements start flooding in - with Luke Combs leading the pack - we can't help but wonder what Morgan Wallen has in store for next year, following his blockbuster I'm the Problem stadium run.
Last week, we laid out a few places we're predicting - and hoping - Wallen will tour in 2026. When releasing his 2025 album, I'm the Problem, the Sneedville megastar revealed to fans in the UK and Australia that had purchased the record that they'd be automatically entered into the pre-sale for his “yet to be announced” respective 2026 UK and Australia dates. It remains to be seen whether he will stick to this, or whether this world tour has been postponed, with Wallen perhaps deciding to stick to North America and Canada over the next 12 months.
In a new post, Wallen has suggested that a 2026 tour announcement is imminent, with the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper sharing a carousel of him playing golf, going hunting and generally making the most of his time off the road, accompanied by the tantalising caption, “What I do when I’m trying to decide if ima tour in ‘26 or not”.
Wallen knows how desperate his fans are for him to hit the road again next year, so we're pretty sure he wouldn't have posted this tongue-in-cheek caption if he wasn't preparing to actually announce a tour - otherwise this would be plain cruel.
Wallen does tend to unveil his tours in the off-season - the Fall and Winter - with his 2025 I'm the Problem Tour announcement arriving in January, while news of his initial 2023 One Night At A Time series of shows dropped in December 2022.
If he is plotting a world tour, though, we suspect Wallen will want to give fans a little more time for the anticipation to grow. The logistics for an international run - particularly if he's planning to play in both Europe and Australia - naturally take longer to get in place. With the country titan now teasing a 2026 announcement via his socials, we're hoping we might get some dates in the coming weeks.
With Luke Combs announcing his My Kinda Saturday Night World Tour last week, with dates at iconic venues such as London's Wembley Stadium and Ireland's Slane Castle, it'll be interesting to see what Wallen has up his sleeve for next year.
Combs and Wallen have traditionally been two of the biggest names in 2020’s country music, with Combs perhaps being eclipsed by the likes of Zach Bryan and Post Malone in recent years. But even so, the North Carolina native remains one of the most influential figures in the genre, and we'd be surprised if Wallen unveils an international tour a mere matter of weeks after Combs has just done the same. This could mean we have to wait a little longer before we get the tour news.
Either way, with Wallen sending ‘21 Cigarettes’ to Country Radio this week and implying a music video is en route - following the explosive visuals for ‘I Got Better’ - it seems there's plenty to look forward to for members of his loyal Wallenteer fanbase.
