Are we about to hear the song of the summer?
Morgan Wallen and Post Malone are releasing their brand new song, 'I Ain't Comin' Back', on April 18th.
The track, which is set to feature on Wallen's hugely anticipated fourth studio album I'm The Problem, was first teased on Saturday (April 12), with Wallen sharing a sneaky teaser clip on social media.
It's now been confirmed that the 'Last Night' singer will once again be partnering with his ol' pal Austin for what's no doubt going to be another global smash hit for the pair.
Bathed in a wallowing guitar line and shimmering neon synth, the track sounds like a slow-burn ear worm, both singers taking a forlorn approach to their vocals as they sing of getting the heck out of town and how, unlike Jesus, they ain't coming back.
While we didn't necessarily expect the song to be a prime fit for a Good Friday release, we'll all be googling Richard Petty in search of Easter Eggs until then, that's for sure.
With this announcement, it's safe to say fans are primed and ready for Wallen's new album, which is just over a month away from release (May 16).
The album, from which 6 of the 37 tracks have been released, has set the country music world alight well before release, with fans and critics all abuzz as to how it will sound and who will feature on the Sneedsville native's latest.
Yesterday, Holler revealed that Wallen had held songwriting sessions with a certain Noah Kahan, producing the as yet released song 'Your Turn'.
Whether the song will feature on I'm The Problem or if Kahan will feature on the song itself we are yet to find out, but it wouldn't surprise us if Wallen has secured the partnerships of two of the biggest acts in the world (alongside himself) in Malone and Kahan for his biggest album yet.
