In the latest episode of Spotify's popular Billions Club video series, Morgan Wallen takes viewers through the creation of hits such as ‘Whiskey Glasses’ and ’Last Night’.

The clip pivots around a humorous exchange between Wallen and an official Spotify representative, as the Sneedville native attempts to find room among his numerous accolades, awards and certifications to fit his three brand new plaques. Hilariously, he decides to transform the three discs into hub-caps for his quad-bike.

Wallen was being given the three plaques in honour of ‘Whiskey Glasses’, ’Last Night’ and ‘I Had Some Help’ with Post Malone all surpassing one billion streams on Spotify.

In-between montages of the ‘Love Somebody’ singer-songwriter recording the newly certified anthems, Wallen reflects on how ‘Whiskey Glasses’ came about, “‘Whiskey Glasses’ was a song that came in early, early on in my career. We kind of always felt like that song was super catchy and super clever. Everything about it just stuck with me...The momentum from that song is what we're still carrying with us today. I will forever be so grateful for that song and the response to it”.

As for ’Last Night’, Wallen muses, “‘Last Night’ is a song that's changed the game for me, it elevated us to a whole other level the last couple of years. It was one of those songs where, when we were recording it, we just knew. We just had a feeling that song was something special. It was just up to us not to screw it up too bad”.

Keep an eye out for the Holler article - “Morgan Wallen Earns Most Streamed US Album and Song in Spotify Wrapped 2023 - that makes its way into the headline collage.

Along with ‘I Had Some Help’, this trio of songs highlight why Wallen has cemented himself as the biggest country artist on the planet in the 2020s, with each track showcasing the ‘What I Want’ crooner's ability to flit between genres such as R&B and pop with ease and sincerity. With Wallen having released another wildly popular album, I'm the Problem, earlier in the year, and now gearing up for a blockbuster 2026 tour during which he'll play some of the largest venues in North America, the country titan is showing no signs of taking his foot off the gas.

With ‘Wasted On You’ and ‘You Proof’ both well over the 900 million streams mark on Spotify, and various other iconic earworms such as ‘Chasin’ You’ and ‘Thinkin’ Bout Me’ not far behind, we suspect Wallen might be getting another surprise visit from his friend at Spotify for a few more makeshift “hub-caps” in the near future...
