Morgan Wallen has always made a point of singing about what he knows best, and it's therefore unsurprising that the Sneedville megastar has made a slew of references to his beloved past-times of hunting and fishing throughout his discography so far.
Now that he's got a few weeks to himself, following the conclusion of his One Night At A Time World Tour in October - a run that has officially been crowned the highest-selling country tour in history - Morgan has been spending plenty of time out in the woods.
The hunting lifestyle platform, MyOutdoorTV, shared a photo of Morgan Wallen and a few buddies during his latest trip, with each member draped from head to toe in camouflage gear.
Morgan professes his hunting prowess on One Thing At A Time stand-out, ‘I Wrote The Book’, “When it comes to hitchin’ the boat up / Backin’ down the ramp in my old truck / To find a bunch of logs, catch a bunch of hogs / I wrote the book, yeah, I wrote the book”.
While it's not clear what exactly Morgan Wallen was hunting, the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter has explained in past interviews - such as his hilarious sit-down chat with Caleb Pressley - that what he loves most about these trips isn't necessarily the tracking or the killing, rather, it's the chance to be out in the middle of nature.
Given how prominently Morgan Wallen's love of the outdoors and spending time away from the harsh glare of the city lights features in his music, we're keeping our fingers crossed this latest hunting expedition has led to a flurry of new song ideas for the 2024 CMA Entertainer of the Year' eagerly anticipated next studio album.
Although we don't have a release date just yet, Morgan's One Thing At A Time follow-up is expected to arrive in 2025, with the success of the lead singles, ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ and ‘Love Somebody’, ensuring the momentum remains sky-high ahead of the project.
