Chris Stapleton's Traveller Whiskey and Major League Baseball have launched their new partnership, with the Buffalo Trace liquor becoming the first official whiskey of the MLB.
The partnership has been debuted in tandem with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers contest, which kicked off the 2025 National League Championship Series.
The Dodgers are the defending champions, and are off to a stellar start, defeating the Brewers during a nail-biting 2-1 face-off in Game 1. Game 2 is slated for tonight at the home of the Brewers, American Family Field, with Game 3 seeing the Dodgers inviting their rivals to the City of Angels’ Dodger Stadium on Thursday.
In the cinematic new promo video shared across Stapleton's socials, you can hear the Kentucky trailblazer's charismatic, weather-worn drawl drifting across clips of classic, unforgettable MLB highlights from over the years, “Some moments take years to earn. Perfecting the craft…seasons of dedication…all leading to the call”.
The partnership was first unveiled earlier in the year, with Traveller Whiskey establishing itself as one of the many gems in Buffalo Trace Distillery's hallowed arsenal.
At the time, the ‘Parachute’ hitmaker reflected on this honour, “Whenever we’re on the road and it happens to line up, we go to baseball games. It’s become a bit of a tradition over the years. We love to experience all the different ballparks and enjoy the culture of whatever baseball town we happen to be in. My wife and I even went to Game Six of the World Series once on our anniversary. Needless to say, I’m thrilled Traveller Whiskey is going to be the Official Whiskey of MLB”.
Stapleton is gearing up to embark on the latest instalment of his beloved All-American Roadshow, which returns early next year and will see the Southern Rock icon taking his hit anthems to states such as Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma and Connecticut.
One track that attendees will no doubt be excited to hear live is Stapleton's now-legendary cover of ‘Tennessee Whiskey’, which helped to inspire the ‘It Takes a Woman’ singer-songwriter's foray into the world of liquor and spirits in the first place.
The brand is named after Stapleton's debut album of the same name, which features ‘Tennessee Whiskey’, along with stand-outs such as ‘Parachute’ and ‘Fire Away’.
