Dasha may not be at this party, but we would certainly all rather be at hers.
Ahead of the release of her new single, 'Not At This Party,' the 'Austin (Boots Stop Workin')' star spoke with Holler about the country stars she would invite to her ideal shindig, soiree and all-out hoedown.
First up, we have 'Slow Burn' artist Kacey Musgraves. "We'd smoke weed together," Dasha says of her choice. Next up is Jon Pardi. She explains, "We hung out one time, and he's so fun to hang out with." Plus, who wouldn't want Pardi at a party?
Then, there's country powerhouse Miranda Lambert. "I feel like Miranda could get rowdy," Dasha guesses, adding, "I'd really like to see that side of her. I think that'd be fun."
Ever the Swiftie, she also includes the 'All Too Well' sensation to the guest list, saying, "I want Taylor Swift there. I know she's not really country anymore, but I'm gonna put her in there, because I love her."
Last but not least, fellow rising star Tucker Wetmore gets an invite. "He and I were hanging out at the CMA Awards, and we had a really good time," she shares, finalizing the who's who of her dream party.
Elsewhere in conversation with Holler, the artist explains how 'Not At This Party' acts as a good indicator of what's to come from her forthcoming material.
"'Not At This Party' is kind of like the pinnacle of me really tapping into the space between pop and country, like raw mandolin, banjo solos, fiddle. Then, it also has that big pop hook that I love," she offers, adding, "This album is going to feel like this and I'm very excited."
