Megan Moroney has ensured the 2025 instalment of CMA Fest has started with a bang, with the ‘Tennessee Orange’ hitmaker delivering a live-wire set on the Chevy Riverfront Stage.

Fans were packed in down by the bank of the Cumberland River, with a tangible sense of anticipation and excitement hanging heavy in the air, as they awaited Moroney's grand entrance.

The Georgia native kicked off proceedings with her trademark opening song, ‘Man on the Moon’, which finds Moroney playfully asking NASA to make room for her annoying ex on their next mission, so that he'll stop pestering her with pleas for a reunion.

It showcased Megan Moroney's ability to nimbly flit between ambiences, reeling off light-hearted, joyful earworms - such as her recent Kenny Chesney collaboration, ‘You Had To Be There’, and ‘I'm Not Pretty’ - before stripping it all back and baring her soul on intricate, pared-down odes like ‘No Caller ID’ and ‘Break It Right Back’.

Megan Moroney's latest Country Radio single, ‘Am I Okay?’, which currently sits at No. 1 on Mediabase, drew a chorus of screams and cheers, with Moroney sending a fizz of electricity crackling through the crowd as she served up the uptempo, rose-tinted track.

‘Am I Okay?’ is now vying for a spot as the cornerstone of Moroney's set - but for the time being, that honour is still held by the ‘Noah’ crooner's witty, charming break-out hit, ‘Tennessee Orange’, which had the whole riverfront singing fondly along.

Megan Moroney's set arrives as the 2024 CMA New Artist of the Year continues to tease new music from her keenly awaited Am I Okay? follow-up album. Moroney shared a snippet of the infectious, tongue-in-cheek ‘Six Months Later’ earlier in the week, with fans clamouring for an official release date in the coming weeks.

For those who were still nursing their hangover from last night's festivities on Broadway and didn't make it to Megan Moroney's 11am set this morning - or those who simply want to enjoy Moroney's arsenal of unstoppable hits again - don't fret, because the country prodigy will be hitting the Nissan Stadium stage on Saturday, June 7th.
