“LETS GOOOOOO”: Megan Moroney Shares Excitement for Kenny Chesney's Sphere Shows - Could She Be a Surprise Guest?

Kenny Chesney has revealed that he's kicked off rehearsals at the Sphere ahead of his blockbuster Las Vegas residency, with his ‘You Had To Be There’ collaborator, Megan Moroney, taking to the comments to express her excitement for the shows.

Fans are wondering whether Moroney might be teasing that she'll be making a special appearance during the residency. The ‘Tennessee Orange’ singer-songwriter has become good friends with Chesney over the past year or so, with the duo touring together for much of 2024 on the latter's Sun Goes Down stadium run.

We're still waiting for Megan Moroney and Kenny Chesney to perform the live debut of their rousing new collaboration, ‘You Had To Be There’, and there's no question that the immersive, innovative Sphere in Las Vegas would be the perfect setting.

In the newly shared video, Kenny Chesney stresses how much he's looking forward to launching this groundbreaking Las Vegas residency, which marks a departure from the No Shoes Nation figurehead's traditional sun-soaked summer tours.

The ‘There Goes My Life’ crooner gushes, “Hey everybody, it's Kenny! Today is our first day of rehearsal inside Sphere here in Vegas. I can't wait for everybody to see it, there's gonna be so much going on, and we're gonna mess with your brains a little bit”.

He expands, “We're gonna throw music at you really loud in a much different experience, and I can't wait for y'all to come to Vegas and see it. Thanks everybody”.

Chesney touches on the ‘Guitars, Tiki Bars and A Whole Lotta Love’ museum at The Venetian Resort, “Oh, and we got the experience going on - I hate to talk about myself in third person, but it's called The Kenny Chesney Experience, and we're selling all kinds of different merch”, before gesturing to his sweater, which pays homage to his beloved dog, Ruby, who passed away in 2022, “This is one of them, the Da Ruba Girl sweatshirt. So can't wait for you guys to come. See you in Vegas”.

In response, Megan Moroney has enthusiastically shared, “LETS GOOOOOO”, with Moroney and Chesney often offering their heartwarming support of one another via socials.

Towards the end of last month, for instance, Megan Moroney helped jokingly introduce Kenny Chesney to TikTok for the first time, with the artists uploading a tongue-in-cheek video of Moroney jovially pulling a reluctant Chesney into the camera.

We'd been hoping for months that Moroney and Chesney would team up for a collaboration, and thankfully, earlier in May, it finally arrived in the form of ‘You Had To Be There’.

Megan Moroney penned the uplifting, energising track for Kenny Chesney as a Christmas present, with Moroney wanting to underline her appreciation for Chesney bringing her out on tour last year and being so welcoming to her and her crew.

We'll be keeping everything crossed that we'll get to see Megan Moroney in Vegas with Kenny Chesney. When Chesney first announced his Sphere residency - which will make him the first country artist to ever headline the trailblazing venue - Moroney shared the ‘looking eyes’ emoji, which many took to be a hint that she'll be emerging as a surprise guest at some point. Chesney's first show is on Thursday, May 22nd, and Moroney is on tour across the opening two dates of the residency, but she doesn't have a show on Sunday, May 25th. Could this be the night the much-loved duo are planning on joining forces?
