Singer-songwriter Max McNown hit a major career milestone this week, crossing the 10 million monthly listeners mark on Spotify–a true height he announced with disbelief and gratitude on Instagram.

On his Instagram story, McNown wrote: “Never in my life did I see this coming. I can’t properly express how grateful I am for every single one of y’all, but I promise to keep my head on straight and make music that brings healing to those who need it.”

The sentiment reflects the sincerity behind tracks like 'A Lot More Free,' his Gold-certified breakout single, and 'Better Me for You (Brown Eyes),' both of which helped drive his rapid rise.

Just two years into his major-label journey, the Oregon native has already netted half a billion streams across Spotify, grown from busking on the pier to topping charts globally, and built a passionate fanbase across the US, Canada, Europe and Australia.

As McNown just released his deluxe album, Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up), earlier this month, the 10 million marker becomes more than just a number; it’s a tell-tale sign that heartfelt songwriting and community-minded storytelling can scale fast when rooted in authenticity.

His fans on social media have responded with excitement and shared memories of attending his live shows while McNown's team teased upcoming tour dates and more new music later this year.

It’s a milestone that looks like just the beginning for the Oregon-born artist on the rise.
