Luke Combs has joined forces with the Preservation Hall Band and pioneering multi-instrumentalist, Ivan Neville, for a beautiful rendition of Sam Cooke's ‘Bring It On Home to Me’.

The iconic track was first released by the soul legend in 1962, with the stirring offering remaining one of the most celebrated gems in Cooke's shimmering, expansive discography.

Luke Combs took time to perform ‘Bring It On Home to Me’ at the Preservation Hall during his spell in Louisiana for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 2025 earlier in May.

All proceeds from the ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ hitmaker's performance go towards the Preservation Hall Foundation, which seeks to cultivate and sustain the place of traditional New Orleans jazz in the modern musical space, as well as fostering a deeper appreciation for the eclectic range of communities that support the genre.

The Preservation Hall has been a pillar of New Orleans’ trailblazing jazz scene since 1961 - aptly, just one year before Sam Cooke first recorded ‘Bring It On Home to Me’.

Luke Combs’ showcased the commanding, guttural vocals he has become synonymous with over the years, with the North Carolina megastar once again highlighting his versatility.

The ‘Beautiful Crazy’ singer-songwriter has been making a point of broadening his sonic horizons of late, with Combs exploring a sparser, more pared-down sound on his 2024 record, Fathers & Sons, before delving into full-blown stadium-rock on the likes of ‘Ain't No Love in Oklahoma’ and ‘Backup Plan’ with Bailey Zimmerman.

With Combs only playing a smattering of high-profile festivals this year, including Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, we're hoping the country chart-topper will find time to hit the studio and record some of his stellar, recently teased unreleased tracks, such as ‘Wish Upon a Whiskey’, ‘Ain't No Cowboy’ and ‘Pushin’ Up Daisies’.
