Morgan Wallen has seemingly confirmed he's in album mode, with the Sneedville megastar sharing a new studio photo to his Instagram Story, with the caption, ‘Locked in’.

The ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter is currently working on his highly anticipated One Thing At A Time follow-up album, with Wallen yet to announce a release date.

The project appears to be inching closer, however, with this latest post suggesting Morgan Wallen is hard at work on the record. When he surprised us with the release of the long-teased, ’Smile’, on New Year's Eve, many fans took this to be the unofficial launch of his new album's rollout, with the record expected to be unveiled soon.

In the ‘Smile’ music video, there was a potential clue as to the name of Morgan Wallen's new album, with Caleb Pressley hosting a fictional talk-show, Dark Til Daylight, that Wallen performs on. When we looked on the ASCAP database, there is a song registered under that name, penned by some of Wallen's go-to collaborators, which makes us think ‘Dark Til Daylight’ could be the title-track for the forthcoming project.

With the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper having a penchant for releasing his albums early in the year, it looks like his eagerly awaited fourth record may be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Morgan Wallen's previous album, One Thing At A Time, dropped in March, Dangerous in January and If I Know Me in April. Given the fact that Album No. 3 (One Thing At A Time) arrived on 3/3, perhaps album No. 4 is being lined up for an April 4th (4/4) release date.

Morgan Wallen's blockbuster new project is still under wraps for the time being, but it's due to feature ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’, ‘Love Somebody’ and ‘Smile’, in addition to unreleased fan-favourites such as ‘Since You Got Gone’, ’I Guess’ and ‘Redneck’.

Wallen consolidated his progression from country trailblazer to cross-genre chart titan with One Thing At A Time, and the ‘Everything I Love’ singer-songwriter is expected to double-down on the experimentation that pervaded his lauded 2023 record.

Last week, Morgan Wallen's status as the biggest country artist in the modern landscape was confirmed, with Billboard crowning Dangerous the Top Album of the 21st Century so far, based on Billboard 200 chart data. Additionally, Wallen secured the No. 13 spot on the Top Artists of the 21st Century ranking, with his ubiquitous 2023 single, ’Last Night’, landing at No. 7 on Billboard's Top Songs of the 21st Century list.
