Lauren Watkins has dropped her keenly anticipated debut full-length album, The Heartbroken Record, featuring high-profile guest appearances from Sheryl Crow and Ashley Monroe.

The sleek, traditional-leaning project offers yet another boost to the momentum Watkins has been building through her stellar singles and EPs, such as Introducing...The Heartbreak.

The Nashville, Tennessee crooner showcases her nimble storytelling ability on stand-outs such as the infectious, witty ’Mama, I Made It’ and the feel-good break-up anthem, ‘Gatlinburg’, the latter of which has been accompanied by a brand new music video.

The playful visuals open with with Lauren Watkins standing outside her ex's house, before calling up her two best friends and stealing her old flame's Chevrolet for a spontaneous trip to Gatlinburg. Hilariously, she replaces his truck on the drive with a miniature toy-version of the Chevy, with the trio then having the time of their life.

Ahead of its release, the fast-emerging Big Loud prodigy delved into the inspiration behind the album, explaining, “It makes sense that my debut album would be called The Heartbroken Record; heartbreak songs have always been my favorite. As a songwriter I feel a responsibility to put my experiences on paper. Whether it’s the loss of love, or a town, or a friendship, we all experience heartbreak. I think it’s really special that we can be brought together by things like that”.

The Heartbroken Record serves as the perfect mission statement from Watkins, partly because the ‘Stuck In My Ways’ singer-songwriter co-penned every track on the album.

Each song on The Heartbroken Record is lit up by Lauren Watkins’ appreciation for classic country and her ear for an irresistible melody, highlighted on the project's keystone, the title-track. Drenched in steel, the slow-burning anthem finds Watkins reminding listeners that she possesses killer vocal prowess in addition to a magic pen.

Excitingly, Lauren Watkins has a sprawling list of 2024 tour-dates, with blockbuster shows with Morgan Wallen across Europe, coveted opening spots for Maddie & Tae and Corey Kent and a slew of momentous festival appearances.

Attendees at Lauren Watkins’ 2024 stops will no doubt be eagerly looking forward to hearing the up-and-coming artist performing a range of tracks from the project, as Watkins continues to cement herself as one of the most exciting new voices in country.
