At long last, the rollout for Lana Del Rey's keenly awaited debut country album, The Right Person Will Stay, seems to be picking up pace, with the ‘Video Games’ hitmaker sharing what appears to be the cover artwork for her new single, ‘Henry, Come On’.

The pop phenom first teased ‘Henry, Come On’ back in January 2024, with fans clamouring for a release date from Lana Del Rey for over a year. Now, thankfully, it looks like we'll be able to stream the country-leaning track in the coming weeks.

Although Lana Del Rey has not accompanied the cryptic new post with any news regarding a release date for ‘Henry, Come On’, it certainly implies the song will be dropping soon.

While some fans excitedly declared that this must mean ‘Henry, Come On’ would be released tomorrow (Friday, March 28th), it's already gone midnight in New Zealand, and the track is nowhere to be found, which suggests it won't be dropping this week.

There is a chance, of course, that we could be getting ‘Henry, Come On‘ as a surprise release. If the song was being lined up to drop at a specified time, such as midnight ET, rather than midnight in each respective country, then it could still drop tonight.

When announcing her debut country album, The Right Person Will Stay, which is set to be released on May 21st and will feature 13 songs in total, Lana Del Rey confirmed ‘Henry, Come On’ would be the first song we'd get to hear. Lana also teased that we'd get to enjoy some other offerings from the project ahead of her April Stagecoach set, “so grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, Zach and Drew Erickson amongst others. Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach... starting with Henry”.

The album was initially slated for a 2024 release, before being pushed back for unknown reasons. Lana Del Rey's first full-length country record has been a long time coming, with the global chart-topper flirting with the genre over the past few years.

In December 2023, for instance, Lana Del Rey treated us to a reflective cover of John Denver's iconic anthem, ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’, while Lana has performed with Megan Moroney, Paul Cauthen, Nikki Lane, Meg Mcree and Lukas Nelson in the past.

It remains to be seen whether Lana Del Rey will include any features from country artists, but with Lana being good friends with Lainey Wilson, we're hoping for a blockbuster link-up between these two titans. Either way, we're just glad that we'll be able to enjoy new music from the genre-blending trailblazer before too long.
