Megan Moroney surprised the crowd at her 2024 Hangout Music Festival set by bringing out pop megastar, Lana Del Rey, to duet with her on her hit single, ‘Tennessee Orange’.
Lana, who had headlined the opening day of the festival on May 17, returned to Gulf Shores Public Beach to join her good friend, Megan, for a stellar rendition of the slow-burning ballad.
It consolidates Lana Del Rey's continuing transition into the genre, with the ‘Video Games’ singer-songwriter currently readying her debut country album, Lasso, for September 2024.
Megan Moroney is preparing her full-length record, Am I Okay?, for July 12th, with the eagerly anticipated project set to include previously shared singles such as ‘No Caller ID’, ‘28th of June’, ‘Indifferent’, as well as the unreleased ‘Man on the Moon’.
Lana Del Rey and Megan Moroney's warm, endearing chemistry was on full display throughout the performance, with ‘Tennessee Orange’ representing a noticeable departure from the darker, moodier sonics and textures Lana often infuses into her music.
With Lana having also linked up with the likes of Lukas Nelson and Lainey Wilson in recent months, we're hoping her new record will feature an array of A-list country features.
Megan Moroney's set was one of the highlights of the final day of Hangout Music Festival 2024, with Zach Bryan closing out the sun-soaked extravaganza with a blockbuster performance packed with fan-favourites and deep-cuts from his quickly expanding repertoire. Also performing at Hangout across the weekend was Wyatt Flores, Tanner Adell, Jaime Wyatt, Alana Springsteen, Dylan Gossett, Dasha and more.
