Lainey Wilson has earned her third No. 1 on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, with the Louisiana native's wistful new single, ’Somewhere Over Laredo’, soaring to the peak of the listing for the period dated Friday, May 30th to Thursday, June 5th.

The recently released track, which finds the ‘Country's Cool Again’ singer-songwriter reflecting on a past romance as she flies over the place she said goodbye to her old flame, is set to appear on Wilson's 2025 Whirlwind (Deluxe) album. The song nimbly interpolates the Wizards of Oz classic, ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’.

Slotting in at No. 1 on this week's UK Country Radio Airplay Chart is Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs’ fired-up collaboration, ‘Backup Plan’, which features on Zimmerman's newly announced sophomore studio album, Different Night Same Rodeo.

Completing the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart Top Five is Ella Langley's ‘weren't for the wind’ - which spent four weeks at No. 1 earlier in the year - at No. 3, followed by Tucker Wetmore's ‘3,2,1’ and Jelly Roll's ‘Heart of Stone’ at No. 4 and 5 respectively.

The biggest mover is Thomas Rhett's infectious 2024 anthem, ‘After All The Bars Are Closed’, which surges a considerable 508% in impressions to land at a new high of No. 39.

This week also sees new entries from David Lewis’ ‘Honky Tonk Bound’ (No. 43), Old Dominion's ‘Me Most Nights’ (No. 44) and The Teskey Brothers’ ‘This Will Be Our Year’ (No. 50).
