Lainey Wilson has scored a second consecutive week at No. 1 on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, with the Louisiana native's slow-burning ode to love, ‘4X4XU’, retaining its place atop the rankings for the frame dated November 22nd to 28th.
‘4X4XU’, which appears on Lainey Wilson's celebrated 2024 album, Whirlwind, has notched an impressive 941,694 impressions this week, a 51% increase on the previous frame.
It becomes Lainey's second multi-week No. 1 on the UK Country Airplay Chart, after another Whirlwind highlight, ‘Hang Tight Honey’, spent three weeks at the pinnacle in August.
The intimate track finds the ‘Country's Cool Again’ singer-songwriter paying tribute to the comfort and peace she feels with her partner, with Lainey calling back to one of the many stand-outs from her 2022 project, Bell Bottom Country, ‘Heart Like a Truck’, by inventively conveying her love through a slew of truck metaphors.
Jordan Davis’ ‘I Ain't Sayin’ has to settle for second position once again. ‘I Ain't Sayin’ earned more plays than any other artist on the chart, but ‘4X4XU’ has picked up around 60,000 more UK Country Radio Airplay impressions over the course of the week.
Completing the Top Five is Bailey Zimmerman's ‘Holy Smokes’, Morgan Wallen's ‘Love Somebody’ and Blake Shelton's ‘Texas’ - the exact same order as last week's chart.
The biggest mover this week was Josh Ross’ ‘Single Again’, which surged 179% to land at No. 44. This frame also saw new entries from Shaboozey's ‘Good News’ (No. 34), Niko Moon's ‘NIGHT'S STILL YOUNG’ (No. 41), Sierra Ferrell's ‘I Could Drive You Crazy’ (No. 42), Post Malone and Jelly Roll's ‘Losers’ (No. 46), First Time Flyers’ ‘Out Of Your Mind’ (No. 49) and Jackson Dean's ‘Long Goodbye’ (No. 50).
