Much like the already well-loved tune, the brand-new music video for Lainey Wilson's 'Hang Tight Honey' is a vintage-sheened masterpiece.
To match the song's bygone country-funk-rock feel, the visual – directed by Dano Cerny – is one long mid-century modern montage of backstages, bus rides and Ed Sullivan-esque showcases, featuring Wilson donning her trademark charm and bell bottoms.
The video depicts a hardworking show-woman throughout, giving it her all and getting what she came for, all while catching the eye of some mystery man.
The music video closes with a "To Be Continued...," but hang tight, honey, the story is getting a part 2 sooner than you may think.
Alongside the visual, the artist shared, "In more ways than one, '4x4xU' is a continuation of my story and a direct follow-up to 'Hang Tight Honey.' So we had to make a couple music videos to match."
The follow-up to the 'Hang Tight Honey' music video will arrive Thursday (July 4) along with the star's next single '4x4xU'.
The pair of tunes are set to appear on Wilson's forthcoming album Whirlwind, out Aug. 23, and will join her previously released early 2024 hit 'Country’s Cool Again.'
