Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan have leapt to the pinnacle of the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, with their introspective, vulnerable duet, ‘Cowboys Cry Too’, hitting No. 1 this week.
During the frame dated from October 11 to 17, Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan's infectious, genre-blurring collaboration, which appears on Kelsea's forthcoming album, PATTERNS, scored 733,868 impressions, marking a 78% increase from last week.
The track finds the two hitmakers trading verses about the importance of letting the tears fall when they need to, and in doing so, they attempt to dismantle the stereotype that ‘cowboys’ - and men in general - should be stoic and tough all the time.
Keith Urban's ‘WILDSIDE’ has to settle for second position this week, with the track previously spending four consecutive frames at No. 1 - the first song to ever do so. Completing this week's Top Five is Jordan Davis’ ‘I Ain't Sayin’, Megan Moroney's ‘Am I Okay?’ and Thomas Rhett's ‘Beautiful As You’ at No. 3, 4 and 5 respectively.
The biggest mover during this frame is Bailey Zimmerman's ‘Holy Smokes’, which surges 85% to land at a new peak, No. 15. The spiritually-themed offering is expected to be the lead single from Bailey's new project, which is yet to be officially unveiled.
This week also saw new entries from Kane Brown's ’Backseat Driver’ (No. 46), Ashley Cooke's ‘i almost do’ (No. 44), Ashley Monroe's ‘There You Are’ (No. 41) and ‘Hot Rod Pipe Dream’ (No. 40), Kip Moore's ‘Learning As I Go’ (No. 39), Riley Green and Luke Bryan's ‘Reel Problems’ (No. 36), Dylan Gossett's ‘Tree Birds’ (No. 35), Jelly Roll's ‘Get By’ (No. 29) and Dwight Yoakam's ‘Wide Open Heart’ (No. 28).
