Kacey Musgraves made a graceful return to the Saturday Night Live stage on March 2. This past weekend marked her third time as musical guest on the long-running late-night sketch comedy show.
The night saw the star showcase the recently released singles from her upcoming album Deeper Well, set to arrive on March 15.
With a warm introduction from the night's host, actress Sydney Sweeney, Musgraves launched into a stunning rendition of the album's title track. The subtle acoustic tune sounded even more striking on the SNL stage and felt all the more cozy with the singer draped in a cinched patchwork ensemble.
For her second performance of the night, Musgraves took on the album's latest offering, 'Too Good To Be True'. Another gently strummed track, the dreamy tune is bewitching under the search stage lights.
Sheathed in a deep blue dress with guitar in hand, Musgraves was a vision as she showcased this new era to the world.
While her performances appeared to go off without a hitch, there was an insignificant wardrobe mishap that made it's way to social media following the night's program.
One fan took to X to share an image of the singer and Sweeney, writing, “I just want someone to look at me the way Sydney Sweeney looks at Kacey Musgraves.”
Musgraves soon responded to the post with, “The clip. I forgot to remove the clip,” in reference to the blue hair pin she can be seen wearing at the show's close.
"Well it’s cute either way," one user responded, a sentiment a number of fans echoed in the thread.
This recent SNL performance joins Musgraves' previous guest spots on October 2021 and her first, which took aired in May 2018.
